JOIN THE CREW
Come Aboard, Storyteller
Ahoy, matey! Captain Baltimore is powered by the city itself — its neighborhoods, its people, and its stories. The crew is always growing, and we want you on deck! Come aboard as a guest author or community reporter and help us chart the very best of Baltimore.
Two Ways to Come Aboard
Guest Posts
Share your Baltimore story! Neighborhood love letters, local business spotlights, opinion pieces, insider guides, hidden gems — we love them all. A great guest post is personal, specific, and useful: show us the Baltimore you know and help readers discover something new.
Guest Reporting
Be our eyes on your corner of the city. Cover local events, send in event recaps with photos, share your “spotted in Baltimore” moments, and tip us off to what’s happening in your neighborhood. If it’s Baltimore and it’s worth knowing, we want to hear about it.
The Ground Rules
- Original work only. Your story must be yours — written fresh for Captain Baltimore.
- Your photos, or photos you have the right to share. No borrowed images without permission.
- Positive and helpful. We celebrate the city — we don’t run crime or scandal content.
- Include your name and neighborhood so readers know who’s telling the story.
- We may lightly edit for clarity and style before your story sets sail.
How to Pitch
Send your idea through our contact page. Put “Guest Post” or “Guest Report” in the subject line, then describe your idea in a few sentences — and tell us about any photos you already have.
Every contribution keeps Baltimore’s story told by Baltimoreans. Hoist the colors and join the crew!
