Announced October 15, 2026, the appointment sees Hopkins — a Cherry Hill native, Morgan State graduate, and the foundation’s director of community innovations — succeed Jane Brown in January 2027. Brown led the foundation for 31 years and becomes board chair.
The search drew 119 applicants, and the foundation’s local impact runs deep: last year it awarded 98 grants totaling $4.8 million to local organizations. Here’s to the next chapter of Baltimore giving.
