Ahoy, Hampden! Chef Anthony Lanasa was let go from his job at Peabody Heights Brewery — and one day later he announced he was opening a brand-new sandwich shop in just 30 days. His concept, Pressed, is slated to open Oct. 29 at 3528 Chestnut Ave. (the former Maillard Patisserie). Expect affordable, healthy, quick-but-filling fare: a tuna salad sandwich for just $7, chicken salad with craisins, tarragon and green apple, Italian cold cut subs served hot or cold, and portobello mushroom paninis with goat cheese — plus calorie info for every sandwich. He’s partnering with local businesses like Cane Collective for custom drinks, and working alongside business partner Tony Levan. As Lanasa puts it: “Whether you’re pressed for time or pressed for a good bite, come get Pressed.” And: “Don’t get depressed, get Pressed.”
