Maryland’s longest-running haunted house is saying goodbye to its longtime home — and it’s going out on top. Bennett’s Curse Haunted House in Dundalk is in its 10th and final season at Eastpoint Mall, and fans voted it the #1 haunted attraction in the nation in USA TODAY’s 10Best readers’ choice. Tonight (Saturday) it’s open 7–10:30 PM, so this weekend is your chance to catch the farewell season where the legend lives.
One last year of fear at Eastpoint
Eastpoint Mall itself has closed, but Bennett’s Curse is still open at its same location for the 2026 season — its 10th and final one there. The family behind the haunt, Jill and Allan Bennett, are actively hunting for a new Maryland home for the 2027 season, and they want to stay in Maryland. After more than 25 years — with earlier chapters at Arundel Mills, Blobs Park, and in Baltimore City — this is the end of the Eastpoint era, not the end of the haunt.
Four haunts, one ticket, 30+ minutes of fear
One ticket gets you all four attractions under one roof, back to back, for more than 30 minutes of continuous scares — and the whole thing is indoors, rain or shine:
- Halloween 3D — a twisted world of glowing monsters, shifting illusions, and dizzying blacklight horrors.
- The Crypts — a dark labyrinth of tombs, catacombs, and skeletal remains where the dead refuse to rest.
- House of the Demons — a cursed gothic stronghold consumed by the eternal battle between demons and vampyres.
- Ravenbrook Asylum — psychological horror among psychotic inmates, deranged doctors, and twisted nurses.
America agrees: it’s the best in the nation
The farewell season comes with the receipts. Fans voted Bennett’s Curse #1 in the nation in USA TODAY’s 10Best readers’ choice, and Parade ranked it #4 among America’s scariest haunted attractions. The Baltimore Banner’s haunted-house roundup calls the Eastpoint run its “Night of Living Eastpoint Mall” chapter. Not bad for a family-owned haunt that started scaring Marylanders in 2001.
