Ahoy, mateys! “The Engagement” airs Monday through Thursday at 11 a.m. — locally produced and news-driven, spanning news, politics, community, arts, and culture. On Fridays, WYPR’s News Roundup moves to 11 a.m.
Watkins be an award-winning journalist, a writer on HBO’s “We Own This City,” executive producer of Hulu’s “Hoops, Hopes and Dreams,” and a University of Baltimore professor. The launch fills WYPR’s midday slot with a true Baltimore voice.
