Hampden is getting bigger and weirder — in the best way. Modern World Baltimore, the nonalcoholic beverage and specialty bottle shop currently at 1006 W. 36th Street, plans to relocate to a larger space at 3811 Falls Road in Hampden, where it will also launch an art gallery.
The business expects to open at its new home in late November or early December. The Falls Road building previously housed vintage shop Wishbone Reserve and Get Shredded, which vacated in September.
The new location will house Heads Up Gallery, a project the operators described in an Instagram announcement as a home for outsider and ‘weirdo’ art. The move gives the business more room while bringing a fresh retail-and-arts use to the recently vacated property.
