Mother Up National Convening Brings Guaranteed-Income Lessons to Baltimore

The short version: Hoist the colors, Baltimore! Mother’s Outreach Network is hosting the Mother Up National Convening on Friday, November 6, 2026, from 9 a.m.–5 p.m. (with an evening reception after) at the University of Baltimore School of Law, 1401 N Charles St — in partnership with UBalt Law’s Meyerhoff Center.

Ahoy, mateys! The day’s keynote comes from legal scholar Professor Dorothy Roberts, and the convening shares powerful lessons from the Mother Up Pilot — the first known guaranteed-income research pilot studying how direct cash can help keep families together and limit child-welfare system involvement, with independent research by Harvard’s Access to Justice Lab.

The gathering also launches the national Family Justice and Cash Working Group — a new crew carryin’ the work forward.

Registration be open now, but space be limited — register for the Mother Up National Convening.

The convening was announced with full details.

Baltimore shows up for families — don’t miss this one, mateys!
