The Baltimore Ravens are giving back in a big way: the team is granting $200,000 to the Living Classrooms Foundation to build a new synthetic-surface football field at City Springs Park in the Washington Hill neighborhood. Announced October 7 through the NFL Grassroots Program — a partnership of the Ravens, the NFL Youth Football Fund, and Local Initiatives Support Corporation (LISC) — the project will serve more than 2,000 youth each year, with upgrades including a new scoreboard, goal posts, and fencing. Ravens president Dick Cass praised the plan as a top-quality, safe place for area kids to play. Source: Baltimore Ravens
