Blue Moon Too Trading Federal Hill for Hampden

A beloved Baltimore brunch institution is charting a course for a new neighborhood, mateys. Blue Moon Too — Federal Hill’s famous brunch spot — is leaving its Light Street home after 11 years and relocating to Hampden’s Meadow Mill, next to La Cuchara.

Owner Sarah Simington, who also owns the original Blue Moon in Fells Point, says the Federal Hill diner will close in April 2027 and reopen in Hampden the same month. The move comes after her landlord decided not to extend the lease — what was supposed to be the announcement of a third Blue Moon location became a relocation instead.

The good news for brunch loyalists: the Hampden spot will serve the same beloved menu, including the “world famous” Cap’n Crunch French toast, cinnamon rolls, and the Sweet Baby Jesus — hash browns topped with eggs, crab meat, cheese, and Old Bay. Simington also hopes to add something new for Blue Moon fans: a liquor license (“I make a mean Bloody Mary,” she says) — and, for the first time, a parking lot.
